In the mood to connect? Show up to your favorite coffee shop, juice bar, workout class, meetup – wherever – and check in on the Fellow app. Choose to be visible now or later. It's up to you.

Connect – with privacy & intention

If you choose Visible Now, you can see who else is checked into the same Place or Event right away. You can switch to Private (and back) any time.Either way, you have 7 days to make a move on anyone who was there with you.

Make a move

There's nothing to lose.Choose to Wave (platonic hello), Wink (interested in more), or send Both (open to friends or more). You'll connect at whichever shared interest level is lowest.So, if you choose 'Both', but they choose 'Wave', they'll only see your wave – and your romantic interest remains a secret.Notifications are never sent unless a connection is made.

If you ever have questions, email us at [email protected].⸻1. Age & EligibilityYou must be 18 or older to use Fellow. You’re responsible for the actions you take in the app.⸻2. Purpose of FellowFellow helps you reconnect with people you’ve crossed paths with in real life — at events, venues, or gatherings. You can express interest in platonic friendship (👋 Wave), romantic potential (😉 Wink), or Both.Your matches, called Connections, are based on mutual interest and shared presence at a place or event.⸻3. Respecting BoundariesFellow is a space for mutual respect. When you make a Connection:
• The lower level of interest sets the tone
• If you select “Both” and they select “Wave,” your Connection is platonic
• Romantic advances in platonic Connections are not allowed
• Violating this boundary may lead to removal from the app⸻4. What You ShareFellow is intentionally low-profile. Other users may see:
• Your first name
• Your photo (optional)
• Your pronouns
• Whether you were checked in to the same place or eventThere are no bios, posts, or public content.⸻5. Your ResponsibilitiesYou agree to:
• Be truthful about who you are
• Only check in to places or events you’ve actually attended
• Respect the vibe and boundaries of every Connection
• Not harass, impersonate, or harm othersWe reserve the right to suspend or remove anyone who breaks these rules.⸻6. Availability & UpdatesWe’re always working to improve Fellow, but we can’t guarantee it will be error-free or available at all times. • Name, pronouns, photo (if you choose to upload one)
• Phone number (for account setup)
• Date of birth (just to confirm you’re 18+)
• Check-in history (only when you choose to check in)
• Location data (if you enable location alerts — to let you know when someone checks in nearby)
• Interest signals (Wave, Wink, Both)
• Device info (e.g. type of phone, OS) to improve functionalityNote: You can choose to turn location permissions on or off at any time in the app or in your phone settings.⸻2. How We Use Your InfoWe use your data to:
• Let you see who you overlapped with at places/events
• Match you with others based on mutual interest level
• Show you relevant Connections after the fact
• Prevent abuse and keep the app functioning wellWe will never sell your data or use it for ads.⸻3. Who Can See What
• Other users only see your name, optional pronouns, and optional photo — nothing else
• No one can tell who you expressed interest in unless it’s mutual
• There’s no public rejection and no public profiles⸻4. Your Control
• You can delete your account and your data anytime from inside the app
• You can control visibility and notifications
• You can email us at [email protected] to ask questions⸻5. SecurityWe work hard to protect your privacy:
• Data encryption is used in transit and at rest
• Minimal data collection: we only collect what we absolutely need
• Access control: only a limited number of staff can access user data, and only when necessary
• Location control: We only access your location when you give permission, and only to power check-ins and nearby alerts. You can disable this any time in your device settings.
